Our first Peruvian coffee in several years, Oropel stood out on the cupping table thanks to its rounded profile, complex notes of chocolate and fruit, and a long, pleasant finish. This unique microlot comes from the heart of the Peruvian jungle, in a region called **Junín**, known for its diversity of ecosystems, altitudes, and cultures.

When the Kittel team described this coffee to me at Cafe Collectif, they described it as “traditional” I think it’s anything but. Dried fruit and chocolate come through strong, but unlike any other coffee I’ve had. Maybe my perception of “traditional” is skewed to think it only means super dark, bitter and burnt coffee, but if this is the new tradition, I’m all for it. Excellent coffee
