Je ne l’ai pas particulièrement aimé en espresso, mais il se boit bien en filtre. Peu acide, il est plus près de ses notes d’abricot que du citron.

Café très suave et agréable pour commencer la journée du bon pied! Un peu un goût léger d’abricot avec la première gorgée

Brewed pour-over with a jug water temp of 72-78deg using 5 pours (first pour/bloom & last pour is 60ml) on 20g with 260ml water. Alternated Hario and Cafec pour style to round out cup. Very tea and floral palate forward, citrus is lost but sweetness (apricot) is present and well rounded. This might be better brewed as a cold/nitro brew or iced to bring out. More notes and make it even easier to drink .

Recently, I discovered a coffee that perfectly complements a sunny summer morning. This brew captivated me with its fragrant hints of blossoms and citrus. It’s nice and different but not sure if jasmine scent with coffee is for me.

Extravaganza — Ethiopia, Sidamo Arbegona Woreda • Heirloom • Natural • 1,920–2,540 m Tasting notes: Blueberry, guava, chocolate, fresh coconut, pine, cinnamon. Tried both as a V60 at Geogen and Chemex at home. The V60 was especially expressive: bright and remarkably pleasant, with chocolate, guava, fresh coconut and a subtle pine note. At home in the Chemex, I found pronounced blueberry and chocolate with a trace of cinnamon, becoming very bright as it cooled. Fascinating to see the different expressions of the same bean from the two brews. Served at Geogen by Xavier, who is also the roaster. Really knowledgeable and engaging—he also introduced me to a decaf that was remarkable, which was an unexpected highlight.
