Bayter Decaf

Tolima is a central department of Colombia located in the Andean region. The mineral-rich soil, high altitudes, and lack of seasons from being so close to the equator make this region ideal for coffee production.

This coffee is sourced from Elias & Shady Bayter at their farm El Vergel in Fresno, Tolima. They are recognized for their funky & experimental coffees.

This coffee was decaffeinated through the ethyl acetate process. It uses fermented molasses from sugar cane as a solvent to release the caffeine from green coffee beans.

The resulting cup reminds us of banana bread, apple and chocolate.
