Union Cantinil

Unión Cantinil is located in the heart of the municipality and sources coffee from a small radius of approximately 15 km. This high-altitude region produces some of the finest coffees in Huehuetenango. The mountains' generally northward orientation means the sun takes its time to reach the small plots where the coffee is grown. While there are some Catimors planted in the area, the common varieties are more traditional and conducive to a high-quality cup, such as Bourbon, Caturra, and Pache.
