Sourced from the Shantawene community in Ethiopia’s famed Sidama region, this single-origin Light Roast is crafted by Vancouver-based Prototype Coffee. Processed with special care at Testi Coffee’s Ayla Shantawene wet mill, this lot features selected 74110 and 74158 cultivars grown by local smallholders at high elevations between 1,950 and 2,150 MASL.
Utilizing a controlled fermentation process prior to drying on raised beds, it highlights vibrant terroir and floral elegance. In the cup, bright tasting notes of passion fruit and juicy mandarin orange are balanced by a gentle sweet banana character and a clean, structured black tea finish. An outstanding single origin that excels on manual filter pour-over extractions like V60 and Chemex.
