San Marcos

This is a regional blend from the north-western area of Colombia. Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a mountain range that translates to “Saint Martha’s Snow-Covered Mountain Range” named after Martha, the patron saint of servants and cooks. ANEI produces high-quality organic coffee grown in harmony with, and with respect for, Mother Earth. ANEI was founded in 1995 by Aurora Izquierdo. As the first Arhuaco woman of the Yewrwa community to obtain a university degree, her goal was to organise the local indigenous and farmer economies. She used coffee as a tool to secure the future of those communities through the implementation of eco-sustainable programs and projects.

Genuinely terrible coffee. It tastes like burnt ash, and the beans are extremely oily. It has that classic “Tim Hortons dark roast” vibe, which some people seem to love, given how well the franchise does, but it’s miles away from the quality of every other bean I’ve tried through Th3rdwave. Really disappointed that they include roasters of this low quality for the price we pay for these boxes.

Roaster
Hi Jesse, thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate it as its the best way to grow as a roaster. Our San Marcos is our darkest roast coffee, geared for people brewing with a standard drip machine. It sounds like you prefer a lighter, more aromatic flavours, have you tried any of our lighter roasted coffee? We've had a number of great reviews with our light and medium roast offering and I hope you give us another chance.

Calendrier de l’Avent, jour 6. Je suis moins fan des grains huileux avec une sensation de brûlé. Mais en americano ça a été correct!

The beans are very oily. The taste was a bit of a burnt. It reminded me of the time I ran out of beans and I made the mistake of buying some dark roast option from the grocery store. 🫠
