For the second consecutive year, we are pleased to present this coffee produced in the Huehuetenango region of western Guatemala. Grown by Francisco Morales Carrillo, owner of Finca La Esperanza, it is the result of 40 years of experience. Francisco began producing coffee at the age of 15, planting his first trees on a small plot along a road. After overcoming many challenges, today he is the proud owner of an incredible farm with nearly 425,000 coffee trees, producing one of the most complex and refined coffees in the region.
Cultivated at an altitude of 1,750 meters, the cherries are depulped immediately and dry-fermented for 24 hours before being carefully washed and sun-dried for 3 to 6 days. Composed of a blend of different varieties, it offers a round and complex cup that is equally well-suited for espresso and filter brewing.
This highly delicate coffee reveals notes of plum and cherry, leading to a milk chocolate finish.
