Sourced through our importing partner Osito, we have been working for 7 years now with the Long Miles Coffee Project—an organization that places transparency and smallholder support at the very core of its Burundian mission. Heza, which translates to "beautiful place" in Kirundi, truly lives up to its name. Accessible only via winding mountain pathways and small, hand-built wooden bridges, this washing station perched at 1,960 MASL feels much more like an adventure than a standard visit. Isolated deep within the hills, it is surrounded by a tight-knit community of coffee farmers who enjoy sweeping, panoramic views of an ever-shifting East African sky.
