Bookkisa Washed
This coffee comes from the hamlet of Bookkisa in the highlands of Guji, southern Ethiopia. This lot is the result of the work of 33 farmers, whose "garden" plantations rarely exceed 2.5 hectares. The coffee plants are scattered around the main household, under a semi-forested canopy, alongside other subsistence crops. Once delivered to the washing station, Ture Waji and his company Sookoo Coffee handle the processing and export of this coffee. The washed Bookkisa is delicate and floral, with notes reminiscent of black tea, lime, and a honey-like sweetness.
