As locals, we’ve always enjoyed the area and have traditionally been loyal customers, which makes this review disappointing to write.
On one visit, I ordered an Americano that was unfortunately close to undrinkable. It was both bitter and sour at the same time, suggesting issues with the extraction.
On a separate occasion, I ordered a flat white and was surprised to be charged nearly $6+. While I understand that coffee prices have increased, the quality of the drink did not justify the premium price point.
That said, if you’re ordering one of their syrup-based specialty lattes, the coffee’s shortcomings are far less noticeable, and some of those drinks are genuinely enjoyable. In particular, I would recommend the lavender latte, which was well balanced and enjoyable. The café itself is in a great location, and we’ve wanted to continue supporting it. I simply think the quality of the coffee needs to better align with the prices being charged.
