Was enjoying an afternoon coffee with my girlfriend, everything in the environment was pleasant. Suddenly the owner of the place approached us and said he didn’t like how close we were sitting next to each other (he said this is a “family” space).
I was shocked, so I said I’d never come back to this cafe. Maybe it was offensive to him culturally (I think he’s middle eastern), but even the way he asked us to separate was arrogant and rude. Otherwise, everything in the place is enjoyable - unfortunate that they have this attitude that even sitting close to your partner is considered not suitable for a “family place”
