This « hole-in-the-wall » cafe, like they call them in Australia, has quite a story about it’s name. To make a story short, coffee was greeted with suspicion since it came from the « infidel »Muslim and Christians were at war with them for a long time. According to legend, Pope Clement VIII declared : « This devil’s drink is delicious. We should cheat the devil by baptizing it ». Thank you for great flat white @clementcoffee 😎.
