Tasting notes: Blueberry, guava, chocolate, fresh coconut, pine, cinnamon.
Tried both as a V60 at Geogen and Chemex at home. The V60 was especially expressive: bright and remarkably pleasant, with chocolate, guava, fresh coconut and a subtle pine note. At home in the Chemex, I found pronounced blueberry and chocolate with a trace of cinnamon, becoming very bright as it cooled. Fascinating to see the different expressions of the same bean from the two brews.
Served at Geogen by Xavier, who is also the roaster. Really knowledgeable and engaging—he also introduced me to a decaf that was remarkable, which was an unexpected highlight.
