Bien que leur apparition date de 1872 avec un concept qui diffère beaucoup avec ceux que nous connaissons aujourd’hui, j’aime bien l’ambiance des “diner” américain. Les comptoirs avec leurs tabourets, les tables avec banquettes, le look rétro adapté des couleurs des années 70. La bouffe classique des burgers, pancakes, œufs, poulet frit et le fameux milkshake format XXL sans oublier que nous pouvions y manger pour pas trop chère 😉. Un endroit convivial juste assez grand pour ressentir son dynamisme. @operatordiner a recréé à sa façon cette atmosphère. Mon premier choix était le “Main Chick” des gaufres(3) au fromage avec du poulet frit sur le dessus et du sirop d’érable. Lorsque j’ai vu l’assiette de la table d’à côté, j’ai plutôt opté pour le “Stack on stack” sois une pile de 3 crêpes au babeurre, un rodin de beurre d’érable et noix de pacanes servis avec sirop d’érable pur. Vraiment délicieux. Seul b-mol, le sirop était très liquide et le café, quoi que bon de @codeblackcoffee goûtait un peu trop le laitpour un flatwhite. Une autre fois essayer le milkshake peut-être ☺️.

Although their appearance dates back to 1872 with a concept that differs greatly from those we know today, I like the atmosphere of American diners. The counters with their stools, the tables with benches, the retro look adapted from the colors of the 70s. The classic food of burgers, pancakes, eggs, fried chicken and the famous XXL milkshake without forgetting that we could eat there for not too much money 😉. A friendly place just big enough to feel its vibe. @operatordiner has recreated this atmosphere in its own way. My first choice was the “Main Chick” cheese waffles(3) with fried chicken on top and maple syrup. When I saw the plate of the table next to me, I opted instead for the “Stack on stack” which is a buttermilk pancake stacks, maple pecan butter served with pure maple syrup. Really delicious. The only downside was that the syrup was very runny and the coffee, although good from @codeblackcoffee, tasted a little too much milk for a flatwhite. Next time, maybe I will try the milkshake ☺️.
