Amazing food (had panini and raspberry coconut cake), service and views! Super cozy, reminded me of a mile-end café but on the water!

My family and I visited this café on Labour Day weekend, arriving from Montreal around 2 p.m. on Sunday. By then, there was already a long line and no available outdoor seating. Many pastries and lunch items were sold out, so we ordered drinks (an espresso, a cappuccino, a hot matcha latte, and a hot cocoa) along with two cake slices: blueberry and chocolate. The cakes were delicious, with generous portions.
We were told drinks would take 20–25 minutes, which seemed reasonable given the crowd. However, after half an hour, nothing had arrived. When I politely asked the staff, the server checked the orders and told me it would be “maybe six more minutes.” In reality, it was another 20 minutes before we finally received them. Nearly an hour for drinks felt excessive, pointing to poor preparation and management for the holiday rush.
When they did arrive, the matcha latte in particular was disappointing - more like a cup of warm milk than matcha, with no latte art. While the café itself is charming and has a lovely view of the lake, the long wait times, limited seating, and mediocre service overshadow the setting. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself returning, as the wait time and food sell-outs seem to be the norm, even outside of holidays.
